A little about The Red Lion
Situated in the idyllic village of Ashington on the South Downs, The Red Lion is perfectly equipped to meet all of your requirements, no matter what the occasion.
Renowned for serving good, honest pub food in lovely surroundings, The Red Lion is a stylish venue that will allow you to relax, indulge, and unwind in its endearing 16th century building that still boasts many of its original beams.
Offering a wide selection of deliciously tempting menus that encompass a variety of starters, mains, sharing platters, light bites, and devilish desserts, The Red Lion is also known for its many special offers, every single day of the week.
We are a child friendly establishment, so please feel free to bring your little ones along when you dine with us. They’ll love our dedicated children’s menu so you’ll have absolutely no problems getting them to clear their plates.

Located in Ashington, approximately 10 miles from the centres of both Horsham and Worthing, The Red Lion is easily accessible and boasts great public transport connections.
The closest train station is Pulborough, which is a 15-minute drive away from The Red Lion. Portslade to London journey times are under an hour and a half.
The Metrobus bus route 23 links Ashington to the neighbouring areas of Worthing, Horsham, and Crawley.
If you’re travelling by car, Ashington’s can be reached by the A24, followed by London Road and Billinghurst Road.
